KilrathiOn mobile, I believe you can set your phone to do this anyways. As for running such things in a web-browser, they'd need to decide on a certain plugin or software suite to accomplish the same thing on a large scale, which I don't think would be financially feasible. The admins or moderators may have information about that, though. I definitely don't speak for the team. Just another rando. :P

osuushiThe Alexa skill lets you do this. It's neat as a gimmick, but IMO not a terribly convenient way to actually play with AID.

Reds#5399This feature you are proposing in the short term, would cause the AI to read itself more. A static algorithm is not profitable.

c1632Is the web app open source? I'd be willing to implement this using https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SpeechRecognition and https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SpeechSynthesis

D0S81 Mergedi just though, you couldn't just have the speech recognition on constantly, otherwise it would start writing in everything you or anyone said, for example "you search the orcs body for useful...john your dinner is ready! stop playing that game of yours and come n get it!", so i think you would have to do it so that the user can map a key to "listen" so basically the microphone is on, but the app doesn't write down anything from it until the key or button is held in and stops when you release it.

flarn2006 MergedI'm pretty sure this already exists—isn't there an Amazon Alexa "skill" for AI Dungeon? And you don't need an Echo either; you should be able to use it via the Alexa app on your phone.
You also don't need a premium account for it, last time I checked. -
